Fluffy

Fluffy

Scoundrels and Miscreants I Have Known. Spot. Fluffy. I found him at the back door. I opened it and he walked in and immediately took command of the place. I was putty in his hands. I fed him the finest tuna from my cupboard and gave up my softest chair. Just for him. He would offer me a quick look in my direction as if to acknowledge me, but only on Fridays -- for some reason. I cleaned his water bowl each day. Scrubbing it so no foreign particles would be left in it when I filled it with filtered water from my refrigerator. I even set it in a sunny area, so that it would slowly warm up to room temperature. I was his slave I will admit. He never complained when I missed my duties, tho behind his staid look, I knew he disapproved. It was one morning when the air was crisp. He was laying on my comfy chair. His ears perked and up he got and sat at the back door. He sat and sat until I finally decided to open it. He left that day never to return. I look at that pile of hair on the chair that didnt go with him and deep inside I cry. He left and he took my heart with him.
